It cracks me up when I see all the cliche sayings and quotes that mask the face of social networking on new years eve/ New years. Last night my Instagram feed consisted of couples, kisses, and cats. I kicked in the new year with sparkling grape juice, cake, and cats. Oh, and two of my favorite people.
Everyone is making there endeavors for the new year. Which lets be real honest here 80% of them will never be completely achieved. Rather than make a list of resolutions this year I thought I would make some practical goals. 2013 has captured first place being the biggest year of my whole life with graduation and my first semester of college. A year full of accomplishment and change. 2014 i pray will be no different.
2014 Goals.
- Read Harry Potter ( I know, gasp. I haven't read the books however I've seen the movies)
- Grow in my relationship with Christ and get to know him deeper.
- Be content with being an art major and the negative comments that come with it.
- Grow as an Artist.
- Meet new people: All stereotypes, all back grounds, and all religions.
- Try new things.
- Be open to change and growth.
- Make the deans list as an Art Major! (I was .004 away this semester… story of my life.)
- Give more.
- Commit to a church in Rock hill and get involved.
- Eat healthier.
I could think of a ton more to add to the list, but here is a good start.
Happy New Years my friends.
