There is like 5 inches of snow on the ground and it is still falling consistently. This is day three.
I am not sure what to do with myself. The snow is flaky and not able to be made in to snowballs or snow men. The roads are covered in at least 3 inches of snow with a sheet of ice underneath. The other day I saw a snow plow machine and had a "those actually exist?!" moment. It think thats the first time I've ever seen one in person actually working and not just the driver taking it for a joy ride.
As much as I have enjoyed time off of classes, I have NOT enjoyed my professors virtual lectures and added assignments that are requiring me to go across campus to the art studio or to the music building. (Which lets be real here… that has not happened yet.) The food in the cafeteria is not up to par and what little snacks we've kept in the dorm are dwindling out. The McDonalds across the street is also closed. I am also pretty sure the Walgreens down the road is wiped out. It could get crazy with a bunch of hungry college kids confined to a dorm.
We still have power though. As much as I think no power would be fun ( and then I could have an excuse for not doing my assignments) Spruce would freeze to death. I actually am legit worried about that.
Snow isn't as fun when you don't have a warm fire to curl up next to, multiple rooms of space to be bored in, and when you still have assignments to complete or when you have to walk outside for basic necessities like food. Stay warm my friends and don't eat the yellow snow!
