Update

     I honestly can't remember the last time I sat down to write a blog post. It seems like over a year ago but really its only been a couple of weeks. Here goes nothing.

    I really feel like I'm a full fledge college student now rather than the little baby freshman trying to keep up in a whole new world. So many things have changed. I got glasses and floral pants. I actually love being an art major now and identify myself as an artist frequently. I've met an awesomely diverse group of friends ( some of which are probably shuttering right now as they read my blog of bad grammar). Friends who are willing to bring me coffee or wait on me because I have to eat late due to art. Spruce my beta fish? He is still alive and kicking.
   Gods teaching me a lot of things up here and as always I am failing him every single day. People weren't kidding when they said keeping a close relationship with in in college was hard but I'm still fighting. He is worth it.
   Im learning a lot in my art classes. So much that everywhere I go I'm seeing little bits of art and theory. Like in fashion and clothing. There are split complementary colors left and right. Im seeing why painters and photographers set there pictures up certain ways and why those photos are so pleasing to the eye rather that your point and click pictures. I can see the craft of sculptures and "decoration pieces" outside of buildings. A whole world I am new too but enjoying. Gods got big things in store for me as an artist.
  My first semester of college is almost over. In one aspect I am totally ready for it and am in desperate need of a break. As the semester is ending though I can't help but be a little sad as I reflect on all the new and exciting things I've experienced. It makes me sad to think that I will never ever walk the campus for the first time again and see everything. A majority of my first in college are over. Now everything new and exciting are the norm. Which I am okay with because Winthrop is pretty awesome. So heres to a busy, new, fun, and exciting first semester of College. Its hard to think I've only got 7 left. Time sure flies.
