"The Girls" || In Charleston

It started with 5 girls in diapers.

Abby, Gabby, Jordan, Charlotte, and Me.

5 Diapered babies in one church location with mom's who were friends and co-workers.

Fast forward to late elementary school (just before the good ol middle school years) and tack on 2 more ladies, Emily and Candace.

Then throw in a woman seeking Gods heart with a passion for ministering to middle school ladies (may God forever bless her for that) , Becca.

6 years later we've added on a 9th person to our circle of ladies, Brooke.

For 6 years I have been doing bible study with these girls.

4 cities, 5 colleges, 2 states, 7 different majors, 2 decades, 9 different personalities and schedules later we are still keeping up weekly studies and encouragement... via technology.

These ladies have painted a perfect picture of what community with flawed humans can be like.

We have cooked together, cried together, fought together, laughed together, dared together, sinned together, and dreamed together.

We have gone our separate ways, had our separate friends, dreamed separate dreams... We have thrived together, as a group and individually.

We have advised each other with good advice. We have given bad advice too. We have been the therapist and the patient. Bless Becca and her couch.

Clothes are swapped regularly.

There were beach trips with some of us and church trips with all of us.

SO many pictures have been taken in so many different locations.

There is community, trust, and a whole lot of Jesus. Sometimes there hasn't always been Jesus.. just a bunch of humans and thats okay too.

My days with the "gang" all there are numbered, but so much more sweet now.

This weekend I traveled to Charleston to visit 2 of "The Girls". Such a cute town filled with cute pictures. Here are a few favorites.

Anthropology finds

Did you really Charleston if there was no bridge picture to prove it?

I am thankful for these ladies, their hearts, and for weekends in Charleston that leave me feeling inspired and rested. I can't wait to see what the next 2 decades of sleep overs and life look like, with these ladies... even if it is over Instagram and Facebook.
